As a leading provider of business rules management systems (BRMS), we enable enterprises to automate decision logic and change rules without code. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, architects, and other team members to design, build, operate, and support our cloud services and infrastructure. Your work will ensure the optimal performance, security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud solutions.

InRule is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team of experts. As a leading provider of business rules management systems (BRMS), we enable enterprises to automate decision logic and change rules without code. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, architects, and other team members to design, build, operate, and support our cloud services and infrastructure. Your work will ensure the optimal performance, security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage tools and processes for developing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting cloud infrastructure and services using technologies such as Azure DevOps, YAML, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, Cake scripts, Octopus, and TeamCity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources and applications using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Sumo Logic, Seq, Zabbix, and other monitoring tools.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations with other CloudOps/DevOps team members.
- Analyze cloud resource usage to identify and implement cost optimization strategies.
- Contribute to the administration of the software development pipeline, enforce security policies, and support vulnerability detection and remediation.
- Automate and optimize operational workflows to improve cloud service efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and deploy monitoring tools and scripts for applications and infrastructure.
- Support deployment and configuration of InRule products, recommending architecture or design changes to enhance SaaS product performance.
- Collaborate with Support, Engineering, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents while maintaining high service quality.
- Provide timely and effective technical support and guidance to internal and external customers.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), software engineering, or systems administration.
- Strong practical knowledge of Azure services (e.g., App Services, Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Storage, Key Vault).
- Proficiency in Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, YAML, C#, Python, JavaScript, T-SQL, and/or other scripting/development languages.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Azure DevOps, Octopus, TeamCity, and DevOps methodologies.
- Skilled in configuring KPIs and diagnosing issues using various monitoring and logging tools.
- Comfortable debugging and maintaining .NET build projects using Cake and PowerShell.
- Familiar with networking, DNS, VPC, disaster recovery/failover, and database operations.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Windows Server, and Linux systems (especially Ubuntu).
- Development experience creating tools for SaaS/PaaS product monitoring and management is a plus.
- Bonus points for knowledge of MongoDB, Tomcat, SharePoint, or Dynamics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; customer service orientation is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Development, IT Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.
- Gothenburg or Stockholm (Residence in Sweden required)
